THE LAWSUIT GOSPEL
You are going to read a theory you have not heard before.
It is called The Lawsuit Theory.
So here’s the deal; God said if you sin, you have to die. That’s the rule. Don’t eat that fruit, Adam and Eve, because if you do, you’re going die, first spiritually, and then physically. Every person has sinned, and every person has died.
Now, what happened to Jesus? Jesus didn’t sin. He NEVER sinned, but He still died. So He got hosed. He was not supposed to die. He didn’t sin; therefore, He shouldn’t have died.
I want to make sure you get this.
All people sin: and they have or will die. Jesus didn’t sin, and He still died. So He got the wrong end of the deal. So do you know what He did? He sued.
In His lawsuit, He asked that everybody who believes in Him gets His righteous life. Everybody that acknowledges Him gets His righteousness put on them. And that’s what He sued for.
That’s the Gospel (The Good News) in a lawsuit.
Jesus announced, “I died, but I wasn’t supposed to die, so there’s a wrong in that. There’s an injustice here, so I am suing the universe. Everybody who believes in Me (Jesus) receives what I should have had: eternal life through My eternal righteousness.”
Then God the Father slammed down the gavel, and the case was closed. Judgment for the plaintiff. And the devil’s whimpering, “Now hold on just a second,” but it was too late.
All who have faith in Jesus Christ get the righteousness of Christ. That’s The Lawsuit Theory of the Gospel. The Gospel is extremely judicial because God is a righteous judge, but Jesus died unjustly. And that wrong had to be righted. Remember, you only die if you sin, and Jesus didn’t sin.
You are part of the award. That is what’s so fantastic about God. Don’t miss what the purpose is. God is not experimenting with people in a petri dish. The Lord wants to fellowship with us. He made it so that we could.
You don’t know what’s going to happen in one minute from now, let alone one hour from now. And God (who cannot lie) has made this commitment, made this offer, made this opportunity to both you and me, and all people around us.
The simplicity is that all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. The wages of that sin, the wages of falling short, is death. But the FREE gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus, our Lord. Thus, God demonstrates His love for us, Jesus Christ, to die for us while we were still sinners.
And if you believe in your heart and confess with your mouth, Jesus is Lord; you will be saved. For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life.
ASKING JESUS TO HELP COULDN’T HURT
If you don’t know Jesus, you don’t know the deepest joy of living!

Heavenly Father, I am sorry for my sin. I surrender my life to You. Lord Jesus Christ, I receive You in my heart, by faith. Pour out Your Holy Spirit into my life, for I believe that You rose from the dead, and I confess that, with my mouth. You died for my sins, You were buried, and three days later, You rose again (according to the Scriptures). Please forgive me. I thank You for this new life You have given me. I praise You …and I pray this…in Your name. Amen.
